CategoriesLast Sunday would have been Michael Hutchence’s 52nd birthday. It’s hard to believe he’s been gone for such a long time, and hard to imagine what he would have been like in his 50s.
He is still one of music’s biggest losses, but at least we have some amazing songs and videos to remember him by. Today I’m posting two of the best – Michael in sweet mode, and Michael in swagger mode.
First, sweet mode – this is By My Side live in 1991, just 6 years before his death.
Second, swagger mode – this is Need You Tonight, at the same 1991 concert.

Yes, it’s been hard to believe he has gone for such a long time… But, wherever he is, I am sure he continues to be the Michael we were all used to see: in sweet mode and in swagger mode, as you perfectly described him!
It just seems to have flown, doesn’t it? He is so missed.
