Who Am I?

I am a typical 80s child.  Born at the start of the decade, my childhood was punctuated with teased fringes, bike shorts, bubble dresses and blue light discos.  The soundtrack to these formative years was Concrete Blonde, Whitney Houston, Prince, Queen, Guns n Roses, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Pat Benatar, INXS.

Of course, like every other generation, I think the decade I grew up in was the best.  I also think it has the unfortunate role of a forgotten decade – where the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s are all held up as magical times, the 80s seems to be constantly passed over.  Thankfully this is starting to change – the music is making a comeback and so is the fashion – for better or worse!

I have a genuine love for all things 80s – movies, music, TV, fashion, celebs, all the good things and the good times!  Mostly, I’m super stoked to be able to share all of my faves and my finds with you!

Tune in on Fridays to join the countdown! Sometimes I take a break from the Top 5 to talk about something 80stastic you really, really need to know before the weekend!
