Best of Pop 80s – Billy Joel Double Play

It was so difficult to pick just 2 Billy songs to star in this week’s double play. I had to go with my 2 very, very favourite songs that Mr Joel released in the 80s. The first is actually one of my top 5 fave songs of all time – The Longest Time. It’s this song that first got me into Billy many, many years ago and cemented him as one of my most admired musicians. I have mentioned my love of 50s and 60s pop before, and this is a beautiful example of that genre done 80s style.

Second, A Matter of Trust – amazing song, and the lyrics are just beautiful – plus the clip is so much fun!  (Ah one, two, three, four!!)
