Fab Friday – The Bestest Dress Ever Made

Today I’d like to take some time to pay homage to what I consider to be the most rad piece of clothing anyone has ever worn. 

You are, of course, familiar with a little movie called Pretty in Pink.  It may have been some time since you last saw it, so here’s a super quick run down – Molly Ringwald is a poor-but-funky girl who falls for the standard hunky rich boy and their relationship seems doomed when everyone around them insists it will never work out. 

I’m super dreamy…

At the end, there is naturally the PROM.  Because Miss Ringwald is poor, she can’t afford a proper dress and so, ta da! She mangles the prom dress of her best friend (I don’t even want to talk about what a crime that is – the original dress is beautiful) and a cheapy dress her dad buys her (also quite a cute dress) and turns them into a Frankenstein-esque abomination that can only be described as the most awesome, horrendous, 80s-Tastic piece of clothing to ever exist.
