Random 80s Stuff Week Preview – The Story of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling

Starting Monday I’ve got some seriously rad things for you in my Random 80s Stuff Week! This is going to be a week full of fun stuff that people from all over the world have alerted me to, which should all randomly fit together to form one big fun stack of posts!  To start off the week, I want to direct you to the Kickstarter campaign for something I really, really want to see!

GLOW “is the often hilarious, surprisingly touching story of the late-80s, cult-classic show, GLOW: Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling.  The film catches up with over twenty-five original “GLOW girls” to uncover the history of this once hugely successful program, and to explore how the show affected the lives of these vibrant, dynamic women.”

I was a huge wrestling fan when I was younger and I’d love to watch this movie! To help the film makers along, you can contribute to the film at their Kickstarter page. I’ve mentioned before how amazing I think these sites are, it’s so cool that we have the opportunity to support projects like this that otherwise might not get a chance. So if you love wrestling you will definitely want to contribute (in a hurry – the campaign is almost over!)
