It seems that most of the really great rock bands feature an explosive lead singer / lead guitarist combo – think Plant and Page, Jagger and Richards, Axl and Slash. On that list is also Tyler and Perry of Aerosmith. I am definitely a guitarist gal, so this week’s Fab Friday is devoted to the one and only, very talented Mr Perry!

All hail the insanely beautiful Michelle Pfeiffer. She’s always been a favourite of mine, ever since Grease 2 which I’ve mentioned was my very favourite movie as a kid.
I’ve heard she hates being associated with the movie, which is fine – there are plenty more amazing movies that she has been a part of, both in the 80s and since. I also remember reading that a study was done on female beauty, trying to work out the science of what makes women attractive, and they came to a very scientific conclusion that Ms Pfeiffer has the most beautiful face in the world. I tend to agree, both then and now…

I think I almost died about five times while looking through this site (I’m all about the 80s stockings!)… my poor, poor credit card is going to get a heck of a workout!
Do I even need to ask if you want to spend all weekend listening to rad 80s tracks?! Lite FM – 93.9 in Chicago is having a Totally 80s Weekend, and you can request all of those non-heinous tracks you love from the best decade ever. The best thing? You can stream online so you can listen no matter where you are in the world!
Guess what I’ll be doing all weekend….
Today I’d like to take some time to pay homage to what I consider to be the most rad piece of clothing anyone has ever worn.
You are, of course, familiar with a little movie called Pretty in Pink. It may have been some time since you last saw it, so here’s a super quick run down – Molly Ringwald is a poor-but-funky girl who falls for the standard hunky rich boy and their relationship seems doomed when everyone around them insists it will never work out.
I’m super dreamy…
At the end, there is naturally the PROM. Because Miss Ringwald is poor, she can’t afford a proper dress and so, ta da! She mangles the prom dress of her best friend (I don’t even want to talk about what a crime that is – the original dress is beautiful) and a cheapy dress her dad buys her (also quite a cute dress) and turns them into a Frankenstein-esque abomination that can only be described as the most awesome, horrendous, 80s-Tastic piece of clothing to ever exist.
