This one is worth it for the fashion alone. Madonna may be completely irrelevant today, but back then her fashion and general attitude were new and fresh and welcomed with open arms.
In this movie she plays Susan, a mysterious free-spirited figure who gains the interest of Roberta (played wonderfully by Rosanna Arquette), a bored housewife who follows Susan’s life through a series of personal ads in the newspaper (kind of an 80s version of Facestalking, I guess!).
Their worlds collide and Roberta is taken along for a wild ride involving a search for a pair of stolen earrings.
This is another movie that is hard to describe in words – it is all about the strange and wonderful journey. Highly recommended.

Watch out for:
The original demo for Get Into the Groove, which can only be heard in the movie.
