80s Makeover Series – She’s Out of Control

Here it is – my fave 80s makeover movie!

It is the story of Katie, played by the lovely Amy Dolenz and her father played by Tony Danza. While Dad is away, Katie has one awesome makeover from geek to 80s chic, complete with teased hair and white knee socks. Hooray!

Now that she’s not a glasses-wearing geek anymore, Katie is popular as heck with the boys, who are knocking down her door.

Then, Dad comes home. He is predictably horrified that his little girl is growing up and is the object of lust for men from one end of the city to the other. The bulk of the movie involves Katie dating a number of different boys, including the sensitive but dangerous tough guy, and the jerkish jock. Hooray again!

This movie is complete and utter unashamedly shallow fun.
