Molly Ringwald ruled the 80s. It wasn’t so much quantity as quality – she was in some of the most defining movies of the decade – including this gem, Pretty in Pink.
Molly stars as Andie, who is poor but rocks her new wave fashion. The girl from the wrong side of the tracks gets together with Blane – the gorgeous, rich, preppie, popular guy. Of course they encounter resistance from both sides of the proverbial tracks – no one thinks they should be together because they come from different worlds.
The best bit in this whole movie, and possibly any movie, is the prom dress Andie makes – the Best Dress Ever.
