This one was a made-for-TV Disney movie, so it might prove a little hard to track down, but I would recommend going the extra mile to see it!
This one is classic makeover fare. Carol and Neil are smart, geeky and totally invisible at their high school. It is their senior year – they know they’ll be going off to their Ivy League colleges the next year and Carol decides she wants to make her last year count. So she ropes Neil into a scheme – posing as two foreign exchange students and attending their high school in disguise.
Carol becomes the lovely French Simone Swaare and Neil becomes the dashing Italian Adriano Parbritzzi. Their makeovers are really fun (especially Neil’s tanning and the big hair disaster) and they gain instant popularity at school.
Of course, it all starts to go pear shaped in no time, but that is always the fun bit!
